As Belichick heads to his 9th Super Bowl as head coach of the New England Patriots, there’s no need to talk about how great he is. We all know that he’s the best head coach in NFL history. He’s also shown himself to be extremely boring. The Belichick he’s shown us looks something like this:

Every now and then he’ll spice things up and you’ll see this:

Notice the change in colour? Spectacular, really.

By now we know that this is all by design- Belichick doesn’t want to give you more information that you need. That means the Patriots usually give boring interviews, Belichick leads the way with his bland answers, and they usually end up in the Super Bowl. Lather, rinse, repeat.

There is another side of Belichick, though. One that he’s let slip out every now and then. Let’s take a look back at some of the more interesting Belichick photos and moments we’ve been lucky enough to see:

Young Belichick:

This is a special moment- he’s smiling! Now it does look like one of those awkward, forced smiles as you try to take a picture with the sun in your eyes, but it’s a smile nonetheless!

Pirate Bill Belichick:

Woah, a double whammy- smiling and dressed up! You can thank Randy Moss for this one. He invited Belichick to his Halloween party, and now this picture lives forever! I would guess Mrs. Belichick picked the costumes, and maybe some alcohol was involved to have Bill take such a candid shot.

Jacked Bill Belichick:

Okay, so we’re scraping the bottom of the barrel for interesting Belichick photos at this point. Here he is rocking the cut-off shirt showing off the guns, and he decided to throw a blob of sunscreen on his nose. If this photo came out today, thousands of New Englanders would rock the overly sun-screened nose look. Don’t worry, I’ve saved the best for last:

Belichick & Bon Jovi:

Wow, this guy can do it all. Winning Super Bowls by day, rocking out with Bon Jovi by night!
